The Urban Renewal Authority mitigates blighted conditions in the community. This is done to protect the surrounding neighborhoods and encourage future development.
The Authority meets as business dictates following regularly scheduled meetings of City Council.

Urban Renewal Authority Property CatalogThis application is for the submission of bids for property currently owned by the Urban Renewal Authority. All completed applications will be reviewed by the Authority during their public meetings. Please allow 45 business days for processing and for presentation to the Authority.
Application to Purchase Property Form.The Urban Renewal Authority will assist property owners who wish to transfer their building to the Authority for the remediation of blighted structures. This is currently done on a case-by-case basis and interested property owners are encouraged to contact the City of Parkersburg Development Department at 304.424.8519 for more information.
