The 2024 Pool Season is almost here!
The City of Parkersburg is fortunate to have three incredible aquatic facilities - the City Park pool and splash pad, the brand-new Southwood Pool and Southwood Waterslide.
City Park Pool is located at 1920 Parks Avenue, inside the Parkersburg City Park.
The Southwood Pool and Slide is located on Belmont Road in Parkersburg.

Income-eligible families who live in the City of Parkersburg with children enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible to receive a free pool pass for the season. Sign-ups begin on May 13, 2024. You must sign up in person at the Parks office, located in the City Park Pavilion. Pool & Slide Reservations
Parties are more fun at the pool! We welcome group reservations for the City Park Pool and Splash Pad, the Southwood Pool, and the Southwood Slide. Please review the guidelines below before making your reservation.
- Pool and slide facility reservations are available for either a two-hour or three-hour block, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 5:30 pm on Sundays. The minimum reservation time is two hours.
- Reservations for the 2024 season will begin on Saturday June 8, 2024 and end on September 1, 2024.
- Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance so that adequate staffing can be secured.
- Water slide height restriction: All persons must be 42" in height or taller to use the slide.
- You are permitted to bring outside food for rentals. Food must NOT be in the pool or splash pad areas. No alcohol is permitted. No grills are permitted inside the fenced-in area.
- When making reservations, payment is due at the time of reservation.
How to make a reservation
**Reservations for the 2024 season cannot be accepted until May 20, 2024, and the first reservation date available will be June 8, 2024.
- Visit the Parks office inside the City Park Pavilion during business hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00 pm
- Complete the required reservation paperwork - this includes your reservation details and written agreement to all terms and conditions.
- Provide payment for your reservation. Cash, check and credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment
